The Attix5 Pro Storage Platform is the backup storage component that controls all backups and access to them. Each Storage Platform includes an AccountServer, one or more StorageServers and a full Reporting Suite. A Storage Platform Console gives users the power to remotely manage backup and restore processes and configure all Backup Clients (Server and Desktop & Laptop Editions) connected to it.
AccountServer
The Attix5 Pro AccountServer handles user authentication and group management of Backup Accounts on your Storage Platform. It can be hosted on the same physical server as the StorageServer(s) or on a separate one, depending on your network requirements and managed remotely using the Storage Platform Console.
StorageServer
The Attix5 Pro StorageServer is the file storage system. One or more StorageServers can be created on a single or separate physical servers and can be managed remotely using the Storage Platform Console.
Central management and Reporting Suite
The Storage Platform Console enables Backup Administrators to control backup and restore processes at Backup Account, AccountServer as well as StorageServer-level and configure all Backup Clients remotely while having access to a full Reporting Suite with statistics on all processes on the StoragePlatform.
